Meet Our Volunteers

We have a fabulous team of volunteers who freely give up their time to help develop and support Scouts in Costessey.

Section Teams

Scouting is split into sections based on ages; the Squirrel Scout section for ages 4 to 6, the Beaver Scout section for ages 6 to 8, the Cub Scout section for ages 8 to 10½ and the Scout section for ages 10½ to 14. These are all run by our section teams are those who make Scouts in Costessey happen every week, running all the activities for our fabulous members aged 4 to 14! Each team has a team leader and team members. Some teams also have Young Leaders who are aged between 14 and 18.

Group Leadership Team

The Group Leadership Team helps volunteers across all Sections work well together and feel motivated. They make sure the Group is respected and supported in their local community.

Our Group Lead Volunteer heads up the team and our Section Team Leaders are members of the Group Leadership Team along with other volunteers with an interest in running the group.

Board of Trustees

The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity trustees, to make sure Scouts is run safely and legally.

At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance. Effective Trustee Board governance helps our volunteers deliver fantastic programmes that give young people skills for life.

Hire our Hall

You can book our hall for parties, functions, meetings and other events. The hall is used most weeknights for Scouts & Guiding, but is available weekday daytime and most weekends are also available to hire.
